Scottish Weekend--Columbus IN

Saturday was spent in Columbus, Indiana enjoying the sights and events of the Scottish celebration. It did appear to me that the crowds were a bit larger in Columbus than in Carrolton, KY back in May.
There was quite a showing of the Clans!
Representations of Canada, Scotland and the United States.
Even the little tykes dressed for the event. More adults dressed up for this event than the one in Carrolton. People brought their "scottish" descendent dogs to the event as well. The largest dog we saw was the Scottish Deer Hound. The dog larger than the Scottish Deer Hound is the Irish Wolf Hound.

The Rogues were an energetic
group. They harmonized well, and really connected
with the audience.
There were demonstrations of how fighing was done with sword and shield. Yes, these knights really did  make contact. There are rules to fighting that the men of yesteryear were supposed to adhear to, even in battle! Facinating!

This is just a sample of the activities at the event. If you want a day of fun, I would recommend attending!
